  • New Pictures

New pictures are always fun!!!  Here are some shots from our dinner out to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday.  They came up to visit and we all went out.  Total fun.

Except for the fact that I look 100 years old, this is a cute picture.

  • Another Day in the Life in Rural America

So me and my youngest son are sitting at the computer.  I'm helping him with a homework project he procrastinated on and now has to rush to get done.  It is about 6:30pm which, at this time of year, still has light outside.  It is an early evening with a little bit of rain.

Our computer is in a corner off our kitchen where we have large floor-to-ceiling windows that expose the beautiful outdoors.  Suddenly, out of the corner of our eyes, we see something big and black moving quickly across the yard.  We turn and look and what do we see?  A black bear!!!!!  The dogs saw it first and wow did they bark!!!  The bear ran behind our new little fence partition and then back behind the new pines we had put in and off into the large open yard of our neighbor.  We saw it run across that yard and disappear from sight.  (too many trees over there).

The bear was small so we stayed inside, kept the dogs in, just in case the Mama bear was about to follow!!  The rest of the night was calm.  But, I'm sure my dogs will be dreaming about it for days to come.

  • Nice weather

We have been having the most beautiful weather.  It is warm during the day but not hot.  It is cool at night but not cold.  Birds are everywhere.  Flowers are blooming.  The air is sweet with perfume.  I love it when we can open the windows and watch the dust balls blow out from under the bed.

  • Art Swap

Andrew sold two of his works to the owner of Richmond Grille so we had to go and swap out the sold art and put in two new pieces.  While we were doing that, the owner said he would be happy to hold an art opening for Andrew there and he could bring all this stuff and show it.  Sounds like fun to me!!!!

  • Take Some Pictures, Why Don't You????

So, we have gotten together with my oldest son's new girlfriend 3 times now and I still have yet to take a picture.  What the heck????

Usually, I am a little annoying with the camera but .... can't say why I haven't been lately.

We went to Western New York and rented my son an apartment this past week.  He is moving out in a month.  Pursuing his relationship with his girlfriend.  Pretty exciting stuff, really.  But, next time...I PROMISE I am going to take some pictures to show.

He will be moving in so moving day will definitely bring some photo ops.

My other son is moving to Chicago in August and that will be yet another story.

My youngest is home for at least another 6 years.  Thank God.  I definitely need that segue into empty nesting.

So, today is Mother's Day and all my guys are home.  Could be the last one for me.  Life is strange, isn't it?
